THE ROLE OF MARKETING / FUNDRAISING EXECUTIVE WITHIN HELPLINK MENTAL
HEALTH
Mission: Helplink Mental Health?s mission is to provide accessible,
free or low-cost mental health services; locally, nationally and
internationally, 7 days a week and out?of?hours.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager and/or CEO, the
Marketing/Fundraising Executive will be responsible for the smooth
running of the organisation?s marketing, promotions, and fundraising
functions:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individual
to help support and expand the organisation into the future ?
you?ll work closely with the entire Helplink team in Galway City.
Knowledge and experience of working in the charity/voluntary and/or
mental health sector would be a distinct advantage and the successful
candidate will have a passion for quality mental health service
provision.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Carry out tasks in line with Helplink?s communications
strategy/operational plans.
* Help to manage and enhance Helplink?s brand, image, and
positioning.
* Design and implement campaign-related projects.
* Manage the day-to-day communications activities of the
organisation towards fulfilment of the communications strategy
* Carry out event management tasks/plans.
* Support the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the
communications activities.
* Help to design and implement a high-quality public relations and
communications plan for specific projects and campaigns.
* Support Management with engagement of a broad range of audiences
and proactively identify related events, activities and opportunities.
* Proactively develop and manage relationships with local, national
and international broadcast andprint media
* Maximise media exposure for Helplink by identifying and proposing
media opportunities
* Develop media materials for spokespeople, including reports, media
briefings, articles and press releases.
* Implement Helplink?s social media strategy to build and sustain
client, supporter and donor engagement.
* Monitor media activity on mental health and related areas.
* Maintain a communications database.
* Support the maintenance and development of Helplinks? websites
to maximise effective communication of information and messages
* Produce newsletters, information and promotional leaflets, etc.
* Support development and implementation of Helplink?s fundraising
approach and strategy.
* Assist with driving Helplink?s fundraising campaigns.
* Work within the framework of the overall objectives and the
policies and practices of Helplink
* Ensure all work undertaken complies with data protection and GDPR
rules
* Contribute to the promotion of equality of opportunity,

* Carry out other administrative duties as required.
* Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed
with the CEO
* Undertake such other duties as might be reasonably assigned from
time to time by the CEO

workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of the CEO or Health
& Safety Representative
While this job description indicates the main functions and
responsibilities of the post, the Marketing/Fundraising Executive may
be allocated other duties from time to time as determined by the
Chairperson and the Board.
The successful applicant must pass a Garda vetting background check.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing/fundraising
executive role within a multifunctional organisation; ideally in the
voluntary/not-of-profit/charity sector
* Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
* Empathy with, and understanding of, and commitment to the mission
of the Helplink
* A qualification appropriate to the role or more than 5 year?s
experience in marketing and/or fundraising in the
voluntary/not-of-profit/charity sector (e.g. marketing and/or
business)
DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS:
* Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing and networking skills
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills and the ability
to describe complex issues in a clear and accessible fashion
* An appreciation of, commitment to, and identification with the
culture and core values and mission of Helplink
HOURS: Part-time Employed - **Apply on the website** hours per week,
